Welcome to Living Water!

Are you looking for a caring fellowship of believers? Join us in worship on Sunday morning or on Wednesday evenings for prayer and Bible study, or gather with our Saturday Nite Live group for a more casual time of sharing and worship. Service times are noted on the right. Worship at Living Water on Sunday mornings features a mix of music styles ranging from contemporary to country gospel to the treasured hymns that we all know and love. Following a time of praise and worship, we dismiss the children for Kids' Church and the adults listen to a message, based on the Holy Bible, the Word of God. Communion services take place on the first Sunday of each month and at other times throughout the year. We encourage you to dress comfortably, and enjoy a very lively and enlightening service. We hope you find us a welcoming assembly!

 WHAT'S HAPPENING AT LIVING WATER
No new events this week.

It if our firm belief that, due to the world situation and almost daily fulfillment of biblical prophecy, our Lord Jesus is soon to return.  Are you ready?

"This same Jesus who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you have seen Him go...."  Acts 1:11

Living Water Women's Ministry

Matthew 5:13-16

As a ladies ministry we meet once a month at the church or in the Norlite Fellowship Hall. Our meetings commence with a business meeting often touching on the various mission outreaches that we support as a group.

We take turns leading a devotional, or everyone shares from the heart. We always have a time of worship and prayer, singing praises to our God. The prayer and praise times usher in the presence of God and we leave knowing we have met with our Lord.

Next Meeting- Monday, February 27, 2017 @ 7:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall @ 74 1st St. E.

"It is our desire for us to grow in everyway spiritually so that we will not just be a Women's Ministry within four walls but that we will all go beyond and be salt and light to those we rub shoulders with everyday." - Gwen Davidson

Prison Ministry

Once monthly our church takes a Sunday evening service at The Pas Correctional Institute. We find this ministry closely dove-tails with our daily street ministry from our kitchen. It is our desire to see lives changed by the power of our Lord Jesus Christ so that, when these people leave the correctional institute, they will truly walk "free" and be able to contribute positively to society.

"....I was in prison and you came to me..." Matthew 25:36

Coffee House/Street Ministry

We operate a "Coffee House" (soup kitchen) in our former church building at 155  Larose Avenue Monday to Friday, 9:30 am - 11:00 am daily. We serve breakfast to a variety of people who are in need financially for various reasons. Some are single moms and children, some are "street people", some are unemployed, some are just simply lonely and in need of fellowship. All are welcome.

Our desire is to not only serve food, but to reach out in friendship and the Love of our Lord Jesus to the hurting, broken in spirit and often in mind. Jesus came to "heal the broken hearted, to bind up the wounds, and to set the captive free" and our desire is to be His Hand extended, reaching out to the oppressed.

Over the past 17 years, the Northern Gateway Community Chaplaincy, itself a registered charity, has worked in close coordination with us at our kitchen while doing a broader work on the streets and in the community of The Pas and OCN. The chaplaincy is funded by grants from the Town of The Pas and the RM of Kelsey as well as donations of monies from various churches, service groups and individuals.  Lorraine Packo is the present chaplain for NGCC and her office is located at 155 Larose Avenue. The chaplaincy phone # is 204-620-0887,

Funding for Living Water soup kitchen comes from our church, along with  free will donations of cash or food from the various churches and individuals in our community and elsewhere. We do not receive any government funding or grants.  God, through His people, has always given us an abundant supply.  He is truly El Shaddai - More than Enough!

If you want to learn more about the soup kitchen ministry, make a donation, or come on staff as a volunteer, call Pastor Betty Olson at 204-620-2741 or 204-623-3123 and leave a message for the pastor.
